Talented poet turned front person Sinead O'Brien has finally dropped her highly anticipated Dan Carey-produced debut EP Drowning In Blessings. Arriving alongside a satisfying video, directed by Saskia Dixie, its climactic final single and tone setting opener, 'Most Modern Painting' is a powerful comment on identity that intertwines seamlessly with band members Julian Hanson and Oscar Robertson's spontaneous instrumentation. O'Brien explains: “‘Most Modern Painting’ is about the creation and maintenance of ‘the self’ - the most epic task we are faced with in our lives. I wanted to work with structure in an unconventional way, linking the movements together using various voices from the narrative.
